Differential pressure transmitter selection
When selecting a differential pressure transmitter, the following aspects should be understood:
1. Accuracy level of differential pressure transmitter
Generally speaking, the main factors that determine accuracy include hysteresis, nonlinearity, non repeatability, temperature, zero offset scale, and the influence of temperature. But mainly due to nonlinearity and non repeatability, the higher the accuracy, the higher the price. The accuracy of the E+HPMD235 differential pressure transmitter can reach level 0.1
2. Measurement range of differential pressure transmitter
The measurement range of differential pressure transmitter is not only an important parameter for instrument reliability, but also from an economic perspective, the selection of the measurement range also affects the price of the instrument. When selecting, first determine the maximum value of the measured pressure in the system. Generally speaking, it is necessary to select a transmitter with a pressure range that is about 1.5 times larger than the maximum value. The reason is that in many systems, especially in water pressure measurement and processing, there are peaks and continuous irregular fluctuations, which can damage the pressure sensor in an instant. Continuous high pressure values or slightly exceeding the calibrated maximum value of the transmitter can shorten the lifespan of the sensor and also cause a decrease in accuracy. So a buffer can be used to reduce pressure burrs, but this will reduce the response speed of the sensor. So when selecting a transmitter, it is necessary to fully consider the pressure range, accuracy, and stability.
3. What medium is the differential pressure transmitter measuring
Will viscous liquids or mud block the pressure interface, solvents or corrosive substances damage the transmitter, and more precisely, materials in direct contact with the medium. The above factors will determine the material used for the contact between the differential pressure transmitter and the medium, or whether to choose a direct isolation film.
4. Packaging issues with transmitters
The packaging of the transmitter is often overlooked due to its rack, but this will gradually reveal its shortcomings in future applications. When purchasing a transmitter, it is important to consider the future task environment, humidity, how to install the transmitter, and whether there will be severe impacts or vibrations.
5. Environmental temperature range of differential pressure transmitter
Usually, a transmitter will calibrate two temperature ranges, one of which is the normal task temperature and the other is the temperature compensation field. The normal task temperature field refers to the temperature range during which the transmitter is not damaged in the task form, and beyond the temperature compensation field, it may not achieve its functional objectives.
